In this opening session we will introduce the Conference Hosts of the Virtual Inclusion Conference and explain the sessions that will take place during the day along with the logistics to access the content, how to network and connect with other attendees.

We will answer your questions on how to use the app, ask questions, vote in live polls, where you can find handouts, recordings and transcripts.

During a time of crisis, what do employees need from their leaders?

Join this 40-minute live panel discussion to hear industry experts discuss the characteristics of an inclusive leader, and whether COVID-19 and a greater need to be anti-racist has changed the face of leadership forever.

Our panellists will explore what is needed from leaders at all levels of an organisation to virtually step up and make a real impact and follow their words with demonstrable actions. Will leaders need to practice empathy more than ever in an online world? Are leaders ready for cultivating the right behaviours and for being truly accountable for creating a safe physical and virtual workplace cultures that give us equality, equity, a sense of belonging and justice?

As we reflect on the outcome of the current pandemic and the importance to tackle widespread marginalisation and racism, what are the learnings for today’s leadership and what will this mean for the future of the workplace?

VIRTUAL MICRO-BEHAVIOURS

As we become increasingly virtual with our interaction with each other, are we at risk of creating an exclusionary workplace culture?

In today’s virtual world of work, leaders are responsible for creating a sense of belonging and virtual teamship to combat exclusion. Otherwise, organisations will see employee productivity and wellbeing decline rapidly.

This 40-minute live webinar will help leadership identify micro-behaviours in the virtual workplace and ways to overcome them. In the session, we will explore various micro-aggressions and the negative effect they can have on people and productivity and motivation levels. We will also consider positive micro-behaviours also known as micro-affirmations, and their impact on how we build a more inclusive workplace culture
